Yangcheng Lake Hand Launch Glider Open (YCH F3K Open)

The YCH F3K Open will be held at the Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort, a paradise for glider enthusiasts. The venue offers expansive airspace, convenient transportation, a beautiful natural environment, and comprehensive supporting facilities.

This year’s event welcomes several internationally renowned pilots. The official competition will span three days, from November 1 to 3, 2025. The competition will be divided into the following categories: U12, U14, U18, OPEN, and 60+.

The YCH F3K Open is organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Aeronautical Sports Association, with co-organization and event management provided by the Suzhou Aeronautical and Model Sports Association, together with P3K/F3K enthusiasts from across China.

1.5        Competition Rules

  • The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) F3K Rules, 2024 Edition.
  • Competition Language: All official score sheets and audio announcements will be provided in English.
  • Awards:Individual: Trophies will be awarded to the top three pilots in each category (U12, U14, U18, OPEN, and 60+).
    Team (OPEN): Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams.
  • Radio Frequency Control: Only 4 GHz equipment is permitted.

1.6        Local Regulations

1.6.1  Camping, Swimming, and Tree Climbing Prohibited

For the safety of all participants, camping, swimming, and similar activities are strictly forbidden on public lawns in accordance with venue management regulations.

In the event of an aircraft falling into the water or becoming stuck in a tree, recovery will be carried out only by designated personnel authorized by the organizers.

Any accidents or incidents resulting from violations of these rules shall be at the sole risk of the competitor.

1.6.2  Arbitration

A paid arbitration system will be applied. Competitors may submit unedited video evidence to the Arbitration Committee to challenge results (limited to the same competition day).

1.6.3  Registration

  1. Registration deadline: October 10, 2025.
  2. Registration will be considered valid only after both the official registration form and payment are received.
  3. Eligibility: Open to competitors from all countries.
  4. Maximum number of participants: 58 pilots.

1.6.4  Competition Groups

Awards will be presented in five categories: U12, U14, U18, OPEN, and 60+.

  • During the competition, U12 and U14 categories will be combined into one group (wingspan < 1 m), while other categories will be randomly grouped.
  • The U12, U14, and U18 categories will complete 10 scoring rounds, with the award ceremony held on the afternoon of November 2.
  • On November 3, competition will continue for the OPEN and 60+ categories.

The top 12 pilots will advance to the FLYOFF, which will consist of 6 rounds. In the event of rain, as many preliminary rounds as possible will be completed, and the Finals will be cancelled.

The hotel is approximately 200 meters from the flying site, and you can easily walk between the hotel and the competition venue. times: 7:40 leave hotel to flying field, 17:30 leave flying field for hotel.
